The REMPLUS Master’s program will share best practices during the 2025 Erasmus Mundus Annual Conference in Brussels, highlighting its academic excellence and strong international employability.
The sessions, of significant international relevance, will begin with the Kick-off Meeting for newly selected Erasmus Mundus master’s programs on 19–20 November such as the REMPLUS2 EMJM and continue with the Annual Conference on 20–21 November, focusing on the sustainability of programs after EU funding ends. During these sessions, participants will exchange best practices and contribute to a dialogue on the future evolution of Erasmus Mundus within the Erasmus+ framework, addressing key European objectives such as employability, competitiveness, and global talent attraction.
At the Kick-off Meeting, Professor Jesús María Blanco will present the REMPLUS master’s program (Renewable Energy in the Marine Environment) as an example of best practices during the session Exchange of Good Practices. Coordinated by EHU in partnership with universities in Ireland, France, and Norway, the program has established itself as one of the most competitive in its field, attracting over 1,300 applications for 25 places, building a network of more than 60 associated entities, and achieving nearly 100% employability. REMPLUS has received international recognition, including the World Maritime Award 2023 and the European Commission Flagship distinction. It stands out for its adaptability through the 3R approach (Review, Refine, Renew).

“Our challenge has always been to connect science, industry, and talent—and the results show that this model works,” Blanco emphasizes.
